Silver PAC: Afstandsbediening en Fotolijst in Één

Het bedrijf Silver PAC is een internationaal bedrijf voor consumentenelectronica dat voorop loopt in het ontwerpen van nieuwe digitale producten voor het huis van de toekomst. Nu kondigen ze de Silver PAC Evolution 5500 aan, een multitouch afstandsbediening die ook dienst doet als fotolijst.

Dat apparaten met multitouch steeds meer in huis te vinden zullen zijn de komende jaren is zeker. Veel software fabricanten hebben de multitouch toepassing al in gebouwd in hun applicaties en software. De eerste multitouch websites zijn in middels ook al online.

De Silver PAC Evolution 5500 maakt gebruik van Microsoft's software Silverlight en Windows 7. De Evolution 5500 heeft een scherm van 4.3 inch en kan niet alleen Windows Media Center bedienen, maar in principe alle home-entertainment apparaten in huis.

Door gebruik te maken van Microsoft SideShow, een standaard van Microsoft om secundaire content in een widget te tonen, is het ook mogelijk om bijvoorbeeld Twitter en Facebook op de Evolution 5500 te zien.

Verder zal de Silver PAC Evolution 5500 voorzien zijn van WiFi, 1 Gb flash geheugen en 256 RAM. Natuurlijk zijn ook een luidspreker, microfoon, USB aansluiting en een goede batterij aanwezig. De prijs is nog niet bekend. Volgens Slashgear wordt de Silver PAC Evolution 5500 gepresenteerd op de CES in Las Vegas.
