Slashdot: Het WebOS niet voor netbooks, maar wellicht tóch voor de Slate.

Vandaag las ik een aantal stukken die mijn speculatie van begin deze maand kracht bijzetten. Het Palm WebOS is inderdaad niet bedoeld voor de HP-netbooks, maar dat sluit de toepassing voor de Slate niet uit.
Liliputing bericht hierover en in de reacties na dit artikel wordt er dermate uitvoerig ingegaan op dit bericht dat ook Slashdot de discussie heeft overgenomen.

De release van de Slate staat voor oktober, het aangepaste WebOS ook. Is hiermee de verwarring compleet of wordt er duidelijkheid onderstreept?

The Register: HP will be producing a WebOS-based tablet.

De duidelijkheid wordt onderstreept. Met dank aan @Arvid las ik de bevestiging nogmaals in het bericht van the Register. Billy Ray schrijft letterlijk: "HP will be producing a WebOS-based tablet, to be on the shelves in October along with applications, but there will not be a notebook version".
